Quirky Inn with Very good Dining

first class menu quirky nature superb bar
I loved the restaurant. The menu was first class. Service was excellent as well. The inn's quirky style made it unique and nice. The bar had an excellent range of real ales.
The room was accessed via steep stairs. This could be difficult if you have heavy luggage.
Rooms
8/10
The Standard Double Room included tea and coffee making facilities, and also two bottles of water. The bed was very comfortable. The en-suite was small, but it featured a toilet, shower, and hand basin and the power shower was excellent.
Location
9/10
The location is excellent. The inn is right on the harbourwith a great view from our room. There was also a nice outdoor terrace where I could relax. It overlooked the harbour and I liked sitting there in the evening.

Uneven stay, food and service issues

difficult order unpleasant employee
The breakfast choices were decent, including a full english option.
The older female server at the bar was awkward, she made every stage of ordering difficult. She questioned my drinks order and told me I could not order food. Another member of staff rolled her eyes at us and smiled apologetically at her colleague's rudeness. I left feeling frustrated.

full parking noisy room
the allocated parking was full each day (i think staff used most of the spaces). it was a bit annoying to have to find street parking. also, our room faced the beer garden, and it was quite noisy until late. i struggled a little to sleep those nights,
